| There is no shift
kit for 45-RFE transmission. Heard about this mod in the forums
of DakotaUSA.com. What this dose
is supposed to firm up WOT shifts
like a shift kit. TCM sends a signal to retard the timing when
the tranny shifts. With use of the FSM, I found the yellow/green
wire in the back passengerside of the engine compartment. Its
hidden, going thur C-128 connecter. Its mounted under the brace
to the right of the hood spring/hinge. |

Put
some plugs on the ends and ran 2 wires in up under the dash to hook
up to a switch. |

Taped
up the wires, tucked the connector back up under the brace. |

The
Control switch is just a simple rocker switch from radio shack.
Its mounted
on the dash. Its the bottom center switch. Looking for a
switch to replace the big ugly one. |

rats nest, but its not that bad. |

Went
for a test ride and it dose shift firmer then before this mod!
One
thing to remember with this mod is....
Make
sure to hook the wire back up or leave the switch closed before
bring in your dak for drive train services.
